Let's be perfectly clear, nothing that Trump said in those tweets is 'right' or a good point. I don't know the crime rate or condition of Mr. Lewis' district and frankly neither does Trump. Trump just employed the typical Fox News dog whistles he always does when discussing anything to do with 'the blacks'. See this unqualified buffoon for what he is. My understanding of Mr. Lewis is that he is a respectable ally that has shown a persistent willingness to advocate our causes. I know whose side I stand on in this fight.

This attack on John Lewis sent a signal to Black elites. I truly just don't understand the inner workings in the minds of black people who legitimately think Trump is here to help the black community when he says and does stuff like this.

He has a history of not renting out apartments to blacks...said he didn't want black people handling his money...referred to Lil' Jon as an "Uncle Tom" on the set of the Apprentice...claimed Obama was not born in America and pleaded with him to show him his "real" birth certificate from Kenya...invites Kanye West to Trump Towers one day, then goes to a rally in Hershey, PA with a 99.9% white crowd and tells them to applaud the fact that black people didn't go out and vote en masse for his success in this election. Let's not forget the fact that he encouraged his cult-like followers at a rally to beat up a black man for $1500 as Trump called him a "thug" (the new codeword for "n****") as he was escorted by police.

Then black people have the nerve to say "he never talked about us...he only cares about Mexicans and Muslims..." as if he hasn't baited black people this whole time leading up to now.
