I don't have a problem with the 4th downs I have a problem with the fact that we never run the ball on those short yardage 4th downs

And our play calling inside the 10 in general

Of course the ATL
The Falcons will probably be one and done if they do make the offs. The defense is too much of a liability.

Yeah, that's probably why they should focus on the offseason. Too many young guns on D with a leader (Freeney) who's probably gone after this season. They need to stack the D and fix the O-line above everything else

I'm much more concerned with the coaching than I am the defense TBH. The defense was gonna be up and down this yr because we got younger on purpose. But you have a head coach who told you in the offseason that he was gonna be recklessly aggressive in these situations because of what happened at the end of the SF game last yr (when we went for a FG instead of going for a TD on 4th down). Thats a much deeper and persistent problem than the defense

You left points on the board in a game you lost by 1 at home? How do you not have a problem with that coaching strategy?

While I agree to an extent, that he may have jumped the gun, he didn't throw a pick 2

Does Matt not have any clout on this team? If he recognizes something, can he not switch the play?

It's like the Lions game in England a couple years back. Lions had no time outs, there was 1 min and change on the clock, 3rd and 2 and Someone called a pass play, it got Dropped by Julio, stopping the clock.

Now yes, Julio should have caught it; but it was a low % play to begin with. Matt should have called out of it, ran the ball and even if they didn't get it, they could have run the clock down with very little time, forcing a tougher situation for the lions.

Same as yesterday on the last 2, Matt should have recognized that was a low percentage play. Where it should have been a run or if the first read for the pass wasn't open; instant throw away and you still hold on with a lead.

Coaching and Matt lost the game

9 years, he still doing this stuff

Defense sucks, Dan Quinn is a moron and Matt Ryan is a fukkboy that can't handle pressure.

Even if we make it to the playoffs, we ain't goin far unless the offense catches fire like it did earlier in the season

Defense only gave up 13 and their young.

Now the offense stalled twice after gliding down into the RZ, Quinn got overzealous, and Matt threw 2 crucial ints

Breh you're a troll. I'm not entertaining nothing you got to say. Go back to the Seahawks you clown :camby:

@keond the offense isn't going anywhere and we know the defense can't be relied on...the coaching decisions is what scares me the most...I have no idea what DQ is gonna do game to game

DQ is kind of a meat head to be honest. Blank loves these types. As for the offense, it only goes as far as Ryan. Shanahan loves to forget about the running game at key points of the game.

Yea but he was brought in to be a guy who gives us a schematic advantage in games. He has not done that. He hasn't improved the one aspect of this team that he was supposed to improve and that's the defense

Shanny did a decent job with the run game yesterday, 30 rushes for 128 yards so he did a better job with the run play calling but the overall decision making from the head coach leaves a lot to be desired

Think about 3 out of 4 of Blanks choices. Mora, Smitty, DQ (the 4th was Petrino :pacspit:)

All were supposed to be defensive gurus. All three have presided over shytty defenses. If they cant coach defenses up, why were they hired? Defense wins playoff games.

You're the troll. You plug your ears to the actual problems of this team, because they have flashy moments and occasionally play to their potential. Only to go back and play the way they have for 9 straight years.

You are intellectually dishonest with blaming people that are relatively new to an ongoing situation.

yea only 13 this game, but they have been awful most of the season. Neal and Campbell look lost in coverage.

They sacrifice money for that inconsistant offense. Name the last true defensive star we had in their prime. I would say Abraham even though I don't know what year he was in, when we picked him up. Asante Samuel was at the end of his career with us.

Think about this,John Babineaux is our veteran leadership. John Babineaux

I just don't see DQ being a coach who in game will elevate his decision making enough to win games. Team slid out of the playoffs b/c of poor coaching that SF being the worst of all. This year's team is sliding again because of poor coaching

Yea there are issues on defense. Yea Kyle can get away from the run at times. But the coaching has been a constant issue since DQ's first day
