Duren not it long term im convinced. If Stew can't/not gonna shoot he not it either. Cade and Ivey for the most part looked fine. Tobias in the first half and second half is who he is. JB has them playing way more inspired defense than Monty ever could. I don't think either Duren or Stew finish the season in Detroit. (maybe both because why sign Paul Reed as a third big when he was good enough to back up Embiid). Why be rumored to sign Hartenstein or Nic Claxton and add Paul Reed if you REALLY trust Duren/Stew? IDK. Ben Math HATES Ivey.

Him being dumb. That’s why he was benched for a long stretch in the 2nd half.

he did that all last year. Duren just not good when dealing with any big that isn't a rim runner like him. And form of a jumper is his weakness. I don't forsee him ever being good enough to deal with this wave of modern stretch bigs and he isn't even good enough of a rim defender to keep guys like TJ McConnell from getting to the cup

Team will never take a real step forward with him as the starting big. Yeah he can rebound with the best of em, but your big has to be able to defend the paint. And he’s up for a contract extension. I’m not committing big money to him if I’m the gm.

I think this year is going to determine what's done with Duren moving forward. He's got Bickerstaff coaching him now, a well established defensive coach. If he can't get him to be deterent force in the paint then it's probably never gonna happen. Time will tell.

Solid. They move the ball better than last season imo, but sometimes they overpass to their detriment.

tough loss but plenty of positives. JB definitely is clear of monty though it wasn't perfect. Cade needs a secondary scorer badly and Ivey/Tobias might have nights where they look like it. Duren wasn't bad but more I look at the leage, having a big that's not a real defensive big or a guy that can stretch the floor will make having him holland and aura an issue especially if the last two aren't average shooters. Just one game though

I know he a rook, but so far Hoolland has only shown the skillset to be belligerent and make bonehead plays. Send him to the g league and let somebody else get them minutes for now.

Cade turnovers rear their head but him and Ivey back to back games outplay the other backcourt. Im good on stew and duren personally and yeah we need another ball handler to help these guys because even when you stagger cade/ivey teams know they can blitz them and the rest of the team hasn't shown they can score whatsoever
