Power supply issue or motherboard failure?

Could be a harddrive problem. Mines does that once in a blue and i know I have to get it changed eventually before I lose everything. I would try to back up files if I were you.

They see me trolling, they hating.....
would a faulty or dead CMOS battery cauce the PCs power to up and shut down during bootup?

- checked HDD and there was no clicking so Idon't think its the issue

- Removed and checked ram sticks.... same issue

- switched PSUs.........same issue

any helpful info would be appreciated

so i decided to unplug this yellow/black/red cord from the motherboard and now everything works fine. What the hell was that cord for brehs, I'm assuming it was something important

what was on the other end of it?
