PC keeps shutting off about 10 sec after being booted up. I'm not a tech expert or anything but I'm assuming its either a power supply issue or motherboard failure. I pressed F10 and got into bios but soon after being booted up it shut off again. I'm assuming that wouldnt have even been possible with a motherboard failure. So im leaning towards the idea that its the power supply

:yeshrug:

any helpful info would be appreciated

have you made any hardware changes recently? Has there been a storm?

a few quick things tho, do you have any extra power supplies? or try opening up your case, and see if any of the capacitors on your motherboard are bulged out.

mine does the same, it used to only happen when I would try to play a video game, now it turns off and restarts a few minutes after I start up the computer, I've assumed all along it was a powersupply issue but I haven't got around to testing the power supply because I've been so busy with school

Save yourself the headache and take it to a professional. You probably have a prebuilt and you messing around with anything inside would do more harm than good.

Yes they are cheap but people who don't know what they are doing should not be trying to replace either one.
