i gave up expecting these characters to have rules they abide to as criminals. the wire was instrumental in teaching mainstream audiences the true thinking of a criminal on all levels. unwritten laws you adhere to, never on the phone, dont speak in rooms, always have muscle watch your step,

people on power always talked on the phone, half the time didnt wear gloves, cameras never seemed to catch anyone doing anything, spoke of criminal activity freely anywhere even in the middle of manhattan, rolled alone all the time, text after text implicating themselves. etc. clearly these guys lived in a world im not familiar with.
That one scene where Tommy pulled out the car and started yelling at Ghost about Lobos in the middle of a clear day had me howling for days.

The series overall was good but not enough to stand with the great series we all have come to love

The end of the series I admit was entertaining at least enough to keep me interested

But they did a horrible job in convincing most of us tariq is the new ghost

And a even more horrible job of convincing the audience to hate ghost enough that we could accept him being killed off. His last arrogant egotistical readings on all the other major characters were entertaining, the problem is it was so out of his previous character that was displayed in the prior seasons even before episode 10 that most of the audience didnt buy it even to the point many thought the writers were giving us alternate versions that would later reveal it was a dream. It was an attempt to get us to hate ghost but it fell short. I've heard so much "I'm done with power" I dont know what it will take to get people back on board.

Maybe word of mouth that the new series is really good might bring the crowd back but right now I have very little interest.
I gotta agree with you but when he told Tasha she was a chicken head bytch from the block... that nikka was cold all season. :wow:

It actually made me like him more. especially that scene where he punked Tariq out and told him not to get in his way.

Sure, I’ll probably end up checking out the spinoffs, but they really went out of their way to paint everybody as some over the top losers that we really shouldn’t have any interest in following these last few eps. This last one especially. At least Tommy has a change of heart at the end of his chapter though.

The writers also need to try and have a little more foresight going into each episode. I heard they just wing each one as they go along, and I’m inclined to believe that.

Method Man looks to be the only redeeming quality going into the new seasons so far. I don’t really see Mary doing a good job filling whatever role she’s given, but hopefully I’ll be proven wrong.

I keep hearing this and reading it but I don't think the point was to make us hate Ghost. I think it was meant to show us that Ghost was at his wits end with everyone. Notice how in each character perspective episode when he would go off on them it seemed like he was saying shyt he'd always wanted to say.

He told Tommy that he didn't need him but that Tommy needed him.

He finally told Tariq that it was his fault for Raina getting killed and that for the first time in his life that he should be accountable for something.

He told Tasha that she was a bird and had no true aspirations. He also told Tasha to basically stop babying Tariq.

I can see how it could look like they wanted us to hate him. But I think it was set up to help us understand that he was fed up.

Seems there was no real reason for Tasha to play the Q card. Dre being dead was even better because then he couldn't talk. Tasha is a complete dumbass.

Which goes back to my previous point.

The end proved what I been telling people for the last three seasons. All of these people are incompetent as fukk when Ghost ain't around to make the decisions.

What a perfect ending shot...“Tariq James St. Patrick Class of 2024”

The writers with one last “fukk You” to anybody who tried to make sense of this bullshyt after years of claiming the entire series happened within a “4-5 month period” both in interviews outside of the show and in showing Tariq’s Choate ID earlier this season to be 2014 or 2015 and even some registration stickers on cars. Now, apparently, we’ve time jumped up to 2020 :mjlol: :dead:
