All they had to do was make Tariq likable by making him look up and respect his father for giving him a good life he never had. He could have asked him to teach him the game or something instead of bytching and saying he’s a lair and all that bullshyt.

He even treated his sister like shyt and pushed her out the room for no reason.

He bytches to every single person when he doesn’t get his way.

Kanan ain’t act like that. No one on the show is more bytch made than Tariq and I can’t see how a story will do well with him as a lead.

To be honest, I wish Shawn was still around and was more on Ghost side because his character was way better except he was wayyyyy to green and didn’t have the heart, but he had the character.

Shawn went right to Kanan side and always stuck by him, he just couldn’t do that to Ghost, which is good that he didn’t because he still had loyalty to the man that took him in, but he was in a bad spot because of it too.

Then you got Tariq bytch ass getting Kanan killed and talking shyt to his father.

Everyone who tries to help him with anything he bytches to.

Tariq is loyal to his own cause, just like Tommy said. He doesn't care about anybody or anything but his own interests. I honestly believe that if Tasha was in his way, or prevented him from getting what he wanted, he would resent her/hurt her in some way too.

This would be fine if Tariq was the antagonist of the show, and we weren't supposed to identify with him or like him, but the writers obviously want us to. At the same time, they keep making his character more irritating, more selfish, and more stupid with every episode, so I don't know how he's supposed to carry an entire show and be someone fans can get behind.

I don't know why they bothered investing in his character anyway. There's nothing interesting about him. Before he became one of the WOAT TV characters, he stayed in school, played basketball, and liked video games. We still don't have a reason as to why he wants to sell drugs, so all that he really has going for him is his hatred for Ghost. His relationship with Kanan gave him some kind of humanity, but he's pretty much been a blank slate for the entire series. And once it's over, he's probably going to become an even worse character.

When Dre went to kill ghost as soon as he walked in truth he heard the gunshot then 2 seconds later you hear a thud(ghost hitting the floor). he’s dead ain’t no faking it ain’t no surviving that especially with no witnesses to immediately call 911

power has a low iq dumb ass audience straight up
Dre and the fed chick were clearly there when the shot went off. Dre rushes out immediately after the shot and punches her. When he hit her she probably called that in and when she went into truth she called that in ASAP, and probably put the charge on Dre which is probably why the cops was on him so heavy.

His initial facial expression and reaction to the phone call would lead one to assume that he automatically assumed it to be Spanky. They just did a poor job of following up on it until after he got released.
I mean he knew it was one of them nikkaz. If he was sure on spank then he would have killed him while they was in jail. He wasn’t sure

He had Shawn around. Once Shawn was killed and Kanan got in Tariq ear it was over.

I get the storyline about wanting your dad in your life. They made Tariq out be unbearable.

Yeah, Tariq has always been in desperate need of a hug. He loves the attention.

But I feel like Tariq's character arc would have been a lot better if Ghost actually did mistreat him and neglect him. Him leaving Tasha for Angela actually is something I could see bothering Tariq, but he confronted Ghost about it and he apologized, so that's not the source of it. For almost the whole series, Ghost has treated Tariq like his hero, constantly wanting him to have a good life and bailing him out whenever he needed help. But for whatever reason I don't understand, Tariq believes Ghost is this selfish person who's never done anything for him and has abused him for years. It's really confusing storytelling.

Kanan was definitely the finishing blow, but what I never understood about that was Tariq not really giving a fukk that Kanan killed Shawn. I would have never spoken to Kanan again if I found that out, but when Tariq is told this, they don't even explore how he feels about it for an entire season. Then when Tariq and Kanan talk about it, Tariq is just like, "How could you kill your own son?" It's not the fact that Kanan took away someone that Tariq really cared about, but the act itself was what bothered him.

shyt, I can't even talk about this kid without getting frustrated. :snoop:

Power doesn't have a low IQ audience, the Power universe has just shown people time and time again that literally ANYTHING can happen.

That said, it's obvious Ghost is dead but I can understand why people would think there's a chance he's alive.

He spoiled kid with nothing to do I guess. Without Shawn he had nobody. Basically he needed to cling on to somebody.

He looked at Ghost as just someone who provided.

I guess when he set Kanan up that's was he way at getting Kanan back for Shawn.

This nikka literally stood by the tray slot to get sprayed with gas to get burn
when he had all that room in the cell

Literally nothing would have burned but them towels:francis:
shyt silly. All he had to do was move to the other side of the room, take a sheet, wet it and tie it around his face so he don’t inhale too much smoke, then he could used water from the toilet to put the fire :heh:

Unless he was in solitary, I think he was, then probably no water in the box. Either way coulda wrapped something around his face and stood at the far end. Could have even put the mattress up against the slot as soon as he saw them two in some fukk shyt.

So a moment where something his dad doesn't want to tell him, about him damn near getting slaughtered right in front of him, leads him to hate his father and wants him dead? Because of a damn Knicks game? shyt we'd all want to hate our parents if that's all it takes to justify it.
So you cool with ya dad hyping you up for something, then mid way there he stops, then comes back in the car yelling and cursing at you and say no game, we going the fuuck home with no explanation? You good with that right? Then you say some slick shiit about Dad's girl and he grips you up crazy and starts talking reckless to you again. But you cool with that.

You can’t be serious. So tariq is justified in hating his father to the point of wanting him dead because they missed some bullshyt knicks game?

You fukked up from the door by trying to apply logic to the storyline. There’s little logic to the storylines. There’s no logical reason for tariq to hate ghost. Not only did he provide him with a life of luxury and privilege. He bailed his bytchass out countless times. He literally saved his life on at least 2 different occasions. When jukebox was bout to kill, ghost swooped in. When the little Italian toy mafia dude had him and was bout to kill him, ghost swooped in. Ghost even had his last put herself on the line keeping him out of jail over killing that cop. Tariq owes everybody yet is somehow the most selfish entitled irrational character on the show. He and Tasha are the worst characters by far.
It's Ghost's fault he was in those situations. Ghost saved Tommy's ass and Tommy still like fuuck you, I couldve did it myself. It's no diffrent than Tariq. Ghost' actions but Tariq in harms way.

Yeah, disappointment with not going to a Knicks game makes me want to kill my father. :beli:
