That’s my major issue with ppl saying Ghost was out of character this episode. For 6 seasons this dude been wanting to go legit and he finally did it and he let everyone he ran into obstacles with a long the way know how he really felt once he finally got everything he wanted..... then it got taken from him

He hadn’t gotten anywhere near legit in this episode :mjlol:... in this episode alone he was personally involved in a shoot out that left a man dead, framed a man for murder that he himself personally committed , tried to convince his son to confess to another murder, and was moments away from being arrested before he was shot.... Absolutely nothing about his current goings on should’ve suddenly given him peace of mind that he was in the clear now and that he’s free to pull 180s on those closest to him that can bring him down...not even the improbable nod as Lt Governor, which like Tasha said is gonna bring a spotlight to all the various crime he’s still actively committing... imagine being tasked with opposition research against a candidate who in the immediate wake of their nomination (let’s just assume everything goes as ghost planned before being shot ) had a son that confessed to murder and a known associate arrested for murder whose primary defense is the nominee framed them :russ:

*Ghost doing a Haha Davis impersonation* - “this election is gonna be a breeze” :blessed:

I meant legit as in he finally was in position to leave all that behind once he covered his tracks of all those things you just mentioned.. the end of the night when everyone arrived at Truth, he thought he was done with all that. This the first episode where Ghost didn’t do the infamous blank stare into space look. Dude was happy as shyt by the end of the episode

also do we know who was following Ghost at the start of the episode? It clearly wasn’t Tommy as the car had a black interior.. maybe it was the guys that tried to kill him and Tommy.. who knows but I’m sure they’ll never answer it

It's either Tariq or Tate who shot Ghost. Somehow I feel like maybe they're both working together. Like Tariq agrees to kill his father for Tate and in return, Tariq doesn't face any charges for killing Ray Ray when he becomes governor and the QCP still gets built in Reina's honor.

I believe Tate's people were the ones who ambushed Ghost and Tommy earlier in the episode. Somehow afterwards, Tate looks into Riq and Tate realizes that to kill Ghost it has to be someone he doesn't see coming so he hands the task over to him. He learns that Riq is facing a murder charge and Riq tells him that his Dad wants him to take the fall. Tate offers Riq some type of guarantee he won't see a prison cell when he becomes governor if he kills ghost for him.

This is the only thing that makes sense. That would explain why Tate tried to bring up Tariq to Ghost before he was interrupted. To let him know that he's on his side. But ghost was so dismissive Tate probably just gave riq the green light after he left and was just showing up to the club with his gun in case Riq didn't go through with it cuz he has his doubts since it is his father and Tariq is still a child.
