Tommy and Wes were in Legendary Battle. Would have preferred people who haven't come back in a while.

He kind of has a point. I think TJ and Jack got more feats than Zack do.
What Zach do that memorable? Don't let nostalgia clog your memory. He wore the dragon shield for an episode or two and was part of the peace conference when he left, but other than that Zach, like the majority of the first season of the MM were just stock characters.
TJ was appointed leader and lead a team, and was also the one who figured out a plan to destroy the Psycho rangers in space.

And Zack led the team when Jason was absent. He also whooped tommy’s ass with the megazord. He had his own fighting style. He’s the only mmpr ranger besides tommy/kim that had a consistent love interest which probably would have developed if he stayed on.
