He is human.

Better to reign in Hell than serve in Heaven
Walter Payton was tough but much like the rest of this board y’all nikkas just see shyt through a fans lense. You’re from Chicago so you can’t be taken seriously…

Walter is not the GOAT
It's weird when people act like the coli is the only place saying something.. Walter being the GOAT is not some crazy thought. Many pros and analysts have said the same. Overall is probably Barry, but Barry wasn't a tough runner. Sweetness is right up there on anybody's list. Top 5 on everybody's list

Only person you can place in walter distinction is:

Jim Brown

all dem other names.
You better off comparing to neal anderson at best. That is the Chicago back you can try that whooptie with.

Walt is top five all time.
in the whole sport defense or offense.

Of course Earl Campbell. I'll mention one that I don't think has been mentioned yet, William Andrews, Atlanta Falcons. 4 straight Pro Bowls from 80-83, couple of All Pros, in Offensive Player of Year voting etc. 4.6 yards per carry career average. He used to bulldoze people, one being Ronnie Lott who said he was the hardest hitter he ever faced.

He has seasons of rushing 1300+, 1300+, 1560+, plus he could catch. Had 2 seasons of over 2,000 yards rushing and receiving, only played 6 seasons, knee injury did him in:

I'll mention some that I haven't seen listed...

Craig "Ironhead" Heyward (Saints)
Travis Henry (Bills)...dude was a spiked bowling ball rolling downhill
Jamal Lewis

I think if Rashad Penny can stay healthy he could be in this mix....that boy is a load. But to answer the question it would have to be

1a Jim Brown
1b Earl Campbell

Watching highlights of these two as a kid was ridiculous.

From who I watched growing up:

Walter Payton
Bo Jackson
John Riggins
Adrian Peterson
Beast Mode

Notice who yall NOT saying?

Derrick Henry.

I don't think he's a bruising back. He's slippery.
Derrick Henry definitely a bruising back. The reason why you think he’s slippery is because defenders don’t wanna hit him straight up when he gets a full head of steam. They try to side tackle him and he slips out of that easy
Like look at this play. The safety could’ve easily made that tackle but he made a business decision

Ironhead and Lewis were a load, my roommate from college told a story of him back in hs via his cousin they said they gave him a toss sweep in practice he came down so hard on the LB they thought that nikka was dead

The nikka you talembout got hurt and his team under his superstar play. Never got to the nfc chsmpionship game and lost. Then the next year retooled up to the bowl and won like walter.

Also...walt and jim brown are always going to override any other casuals' choice.
by real sports head as the goat back.

You the only one trying to put all day erroneously.
over walt and jim brown.
When all day. Is under barry and akin to an afc's eddie george.

He got hurt and never willed his team to a bowl.

You trying to move the goal posts from winning a superbowl as the guy.
Where ain't nobody goin.

By your ideal. Then we need to give the goat qb title away from montana again to somebody else.

If you do not stop.
If we being real about the goat it is and always was jim brown.

So stop the cap.

Art Barr
