Every scheme they try to enact backfires in epic proportions. Alienating independents with the racism and stupid culture wars instead of coming up with solutions to benefit Americans, January 6th, trying to run ANY black candidate to get the black vote (Herschel Walker), Hunter Biden’s laptop, the Supreme Court conservatives ruling to strike down abortion causing record turnouts in the last midterms, DeSantis presidential hopes going down in flames because he wanted to start culture wars for NO reason, still supporting a 2 time impeached ex president who has at least 5 cases who lost them the presidency AND both chambers.

Republicans always shoot themselves in the foot.

Ironic in hindsight given he's become a Trump stooge, but 2016 Lindsey Graham hit the nail on the head.

A democratic governor, a democratic legislature that has been able to pass liberal legislation with no issues - and we're expected to believe Desantis is a +2 favorite and Trump would be just +3 dog against Biden in the 2024 general?

Knock it off.
It's not unrealistic.

Trump lost Arizona and Georgia, which both are long time Republican states that had Republican Governors & Legislatures.

This is an apples to oranges comparison.

You can simply look at the canvasing data in each of these 3 states largest counties in the 2022 election. Outside of a few districts in Wayne County, the Dem candidate was up 2-1 or higher on the Repub candidate. That's an obvious trend we're not seeing anywhere else at the moment and Dem favorability in Michigan is high because Dems have been successfully passing progressive and pro-worker legislation.

Democrats in Michigan Are Showing National Democrats How to Actually Wield Power

Trump won Michigan by 11,000 votes in 2016, Biden won Michigan by ~150K. The last time Michigan went to a republican candidate was in 1988.

Desantis or Trump, Biden will carry Michigan by roughly the same margin, if not higher in 2024.

By losing on the abortion pill for now

-they can campaign and fundraise on it "we need more conservative judges blah blah blah
- and saved themselves the fallout if it did get banned.

Since they had no backup plan despite campaigning on this for half a century.

Just like Obamacare

The last time Democrats won Georgia was 1992. The last time they won Arizona was 1996.

There's no difference in what you're saying vs what I said.

Biden's age is a much bigger issue against DeSantis. It's not really an issue against Trump. DeSantis is also a fresh face and young (which is automatically appealing) and not seen as toxic and dangerous like Trump. Independents are not to be trusted because their considerations on who to vote for are not in line with logic. Example: Trump in 2016.

The point is, Michigan has and continues to trend blue. The Dem legislature has done nothing but bolster that trend - neither Trump who was already unpopular among these same voters or a "fresh face" candidate who is already demonstrating he isn't ready for the big stage, has the juice to change that.

Haley :skip:
Scott :deadrose:
Pence:russ:

Youngkin/Hutchinson/Christie :mjlol:

And Trump finna KO Ron in about 90 days. Now you likely got a Biden/Trump redux and not a damn soul is changing their minds at this point.

Obviously in politics anything can happen but unless Ron pulls a miracle homeboy is toast.

And instead of changing course they hired Karamo at the head of the state GOP :mjlol:
