yea I'm off this China/Lebron shyt. Black man speaks up for his own people and people that come from communities like his own and now he gotta speak on everything, FOH.
Yeah, Dan's obsession with this is fukking corny.
His REAL problem is that he doesn't like that LeBron shyt on Darryl Morey and didn't bother to apologize when it looked like he was wrong. And he's really only mad about that because he's cool with Morey. Notice that through the conversations they've had about Ben Simmons, they don't seem to have had too much to say about Morey wanting full value on the dollar for a deeply flawed player that has a complete irreconcilable relationship with the team.
All that aside: being an activist in one area doesn't mean they're required to be an activist, or even a voice in all things. Especially because for all the social influence and power he likes to throw in Lebron's face when he brings this criticism, none of the protests, statements, or gestures from anyone famous have resulted in actual legislative action that has effected any real, meaningful change. So, if you know it's a struggle to get shyt done HERE, the fukk you look like trying to force change out of a much more difficult government in a country you don't even have citizenship in?
Also, citing tennis players as somehow being the shining example of social responsibility is absolutely fukking laughable.
