It really is a tough subject, and there's landmines everywhere when it comes to talking about it. The problem is that almost everyone looks at it wanting exactly one fact to be true. But the reality is that Cosby could've been an incredibly important figure in black culture and history, have also held surprisingly negative views on us same black folks, been moving wild nasty out here, gotten a deal because of his status, completely gotten fukked over in a matter that is systemically normal for black people, and then only gotten out of it because he had the sheer volume of money and influence to keep firing and hiring lawyers until he got the receipts pulled successfully, and absolutely has a legal right to be out if the deal was reneged on. Looking at it completely objectively, all of these things appear to be true. But people are picking whichever set of facts they identify with, and are running with it.
