Dan really said both sides then he tried to correct himself. He has friends who are cops and who say racist things so Dan doesn't want to sound like he is coming down hard on one side. You cant play both sides on racism. Dan keeps giving racist the benefit of the doubt that they haven't had the right conversation with a person of different race. He really think Trump doesn't understand when something he says or does is racist. Dan laughs at the guest who is black who hugs KKK members but Dan is basically the same guy he thinks you can have a debate with a racist and change their mind about hating a group of people blindly and wanting them dead.

All of you people who listen to the Sara Spain days were right Billy was taking as much of a stand as he was allowed to take without pissing Dan off. She is also causing resentment among the members of the show by giving Dan slap on the wrist punishments while everybody else gets hard stuff like Roy cant eat lunch for over a week.
