Im really getting aggravated on thier scheduling and when the shyt drops. And the order.

You can tell they dont do it live anymore cept the local hour. Its all copy and pasted segments sometimes.

They will have the whole crew for one segment. Then a skeleton crew and an interview in another with no continuity

Do They even bother naming the shows big suey, hour 1, hour 2 on youtube. Its just an amalgamation of shyt.


And samson can not carry the show as the main. Hell no. As an ancillary figure, sure. But he is to sensitive and combative

This is post-playoffs summer schedule which was already altered b/c of the Miami of it all in the NBA & NHL finals. Back on ESPN they'd do full weeks off this time of year & they're still dropping content daily now. And they'd run prerecorded interviews occasionally back then too b/c people wouldn't have availability in the show window when it was all live which could often be a Dan solo. Hell, sometimes they'd just run an HQ interview segment.

but he's an odd dude which makes for a completely different dynamic which is entertaining in its own right...



The whole last segment of DEEZ NUTZ jokes that Samson is oblivious to and explaining soaking to him was fantastic because of that dynamic. I'm not saying you have to like him as a person, but as a persona, Samson is an incredibly fascinating and unique individual. He has giant bags of mixed candy but can't taste from COVID. He likes to think he sees things more empathetically now, but erupts with radiant glee at the thought of draining money from gentle painters. He's so obsessed with movies because it's admittingly the only way he can mainline emotion.

Stop dismissing him b/c you disagree with his sports takes and start keying in on the absolutely unique character in flesh you're being presented with. That is a singular individual who's speaking in line with the same mindset that runs most teams/franchises/corporations out there and him giving that window is a valuable perspective to witness despite disagreeing with it all the time.

I will respond to a few of your points.

I must have missed the announcement of only live local hours. During the heat/panthers playoff, they was live. Which was only weeks ago.

I missed also how the shows have the order on the top right. Never even noticed.

In regards to taking weeks off, thats fine. I rather quality than quantity. Not all these segments deserve shine. Its like one segment is mystery crate, another is stupidoty, another is SBS. I also think watching the yt eps to catch visual bits mess up my usual consumption of the show in the podcast app.

I get it and the why. Giving shine to other talent, other shows on the network.

The flow and continuity doesnt ride with me as a consumer.

Samson is fascinating to me. I get why Dan hired him; he's the hall monitor in a room full of class clowns. Greg is a hall monitor too, but he's getting up there in age. I actually thought he was great subbing for Dan as host. But he can't help himself online being a dweeb.

I don’t think that’swhy LeBatard has Samson on.

They have him on because he’s a genuine pos and it’s real scope into ‘those types’

Somebody like Will Cain and even to a degree Tucker Carlson are performative. Samson beliefs are true, and while he does doublespeak, he’s knows his shyt.

(Not saying Samson has the same exact views those guys claim they have.)


When Billy or Mike Schur get into it with Samson….it’s way more entertaining and insightful content than the First Take style of the Will Cain’s vs Max Kellerman’s.
