Catching up on yesterday's show.

There needs to be someone that tells Dan he's not allowed to talk about Lebron anymore. His argument that Lebron is a disaster because he's going to leave your team depleted when he leaves is asinine.

In sports, that's the case for just about EVERY team that features a great player/stacked roster. It's literally why the "win now" window has the fukking word "now" in it. You can eternally try to stockpile picks/players as assets, and you end up looking like the Thunder, where the light is almost always at the incredibly far end of the tunnel, and the best you can say you did was manage to make one trip to the Finals a decade ago with three future MVPs before they or their coach was ready, and have little to nothing to show for it since.

I know y’all don’t rock with Mike like that but he really is the only one of the everyday folks who’ll push back at Dan on shyt. Or just straight move the show along when Dan gets stuck on a certain point/argument.

Guillermo is the best at making Dan look like a fool but it is true that Mike challenges him more often than anyone else.

I think Mike is a great producer, he just is too much of a wrestling fan. He loves creating gimmicks, bits and characters that, at best, hit half the time (the other half are just annoying) and for some reason he thinks being "annoying cliche fan" is compelling to listen to for more than 2 minutes. His political takes tend to be fukking garbage so when he's the only one standing up to Dan with shytty arguments, of course people are gonna feel some type of way about him.

Yeah, the wrestling fan shyt is the key to him being so annoying. In his head, he's getting heat like a traditional heel, but he doesn't get that that shyt has a short shelf life in most cases outside of wrestling.

That's because he's one of the dominant voices. He talks more than the co-host. I can see Wyttingham pushing back more since Mike isn't around. They need a Black voice in that room

When was David Sampson good at operating/running the marlins? The team never did shyt ( dont give him credit for 2003, that was Dave Dombroskys roster and Jeff Ireland who made the midseason trades) David Sampson was horrible at running the Marlins lol. He gives himself
Major props for fleecing Miami for the stadium, otherwise when was he "good" at running the marlins? lol

He left the Marlins with an entire market hating the franchise and refusing to support the team, he got the team a stadium that no one goes to cause the majority of the fanbase came from Broward/Palm beach.

He and Loria were HORRIBLE.

I feel that. But they still won the world series and got the stadium built though. And let's not act like a large portion of that job isn't fulfilling your owner's wishes, being his shield with the commissioner and other owners, and occasionally talking him down from dumb shyt(which admittedly, i wish David would've done more of but i wasn't there so hey). Plus, the man made an incompetent owner a lot of money. A whole lot. You're right, Jeffrey was horrible(and Beinfest can eat some blame too), and you may not like Samson. But by definition, to me, he was good at his job.
