How is Tim Duncan the goat when his stats are basically even with Garnett and rather weak compared to Karl Malone?

As much as I like Duncan, I’m not putting him over Malone. I remember the 90s VERY WELL.

I know many will knock me for not having Bill on the list but the list is top ten players not top ten WINNERS and i know we have to give the pioneers their respect but in my heart i don't believe Bill is better than any of these cats ahead of him. He is number 11 on my list though but that is as far as i will go. Some days i have Duncan at five with Shaq at 6 and Kobe at 7 but i think Kobe was straight up better right now and don't think i'm changing my mind anytime soon. Hell, i had to think long and hard about putting Kobe above Magic for real. But this is my top ten and i am sticking with it right now.

Tim was a 22-23 and 12 guy like his first 8-10 years in the league.

As he got older Pop started managing his regular season usage more thus his stats took a dip. If I'm not mistaken they were getting backlash from the league for resting players at one time.

Dude was clutch as hell and he outplayed everyone not named Lebron in the 2013 Finals at 37 years old which is crazy when you think about it.

And it's not like Tim couldn't have been a 27/14 type player if he wanted but he was all about team success. Many think the system is the reason for his success though teams tanked for him knowing how good he was. If anything the system held him back from being even more dominant individually. Cause even if he didn't go the Spurs it's little to no doubt in my mind that Tim would have won rings with whatever team would have drafted him provided he didn't get injured.
