Long before there was Youtube, the Jukebox Channel AKA The Box gave you "Music Television that YOU Control" :
In case you don't know, you used to be able to call up a 1-900 phone number and order up the next video for something like $3.50, and it would be broadcast out to everyone in the city (at least, everyone on Time Warner Cable).
Looks like the above clip is from the UK, but the NYC version of the Jukebox channel used to play the most random and insane videos at all hours of the day. You would get your regular mainstream MTV videos, immediately followed by the most random obscure videos from weird genres of music that don't usually even have videos. Every afternoon if I remember correctly someone would call in and order up this:
Then this would be followed by Suicidal Tendencies, then Redman, then Danzig, then NWA, etc. Just totally random.
