The games were just rushed. Polished turds you can say.I know this doesn't have much to do with wrestling, but a missed opportunity for them was not making installment sequels to their videogame. The way to continue to generate revenue and interest? Target the kids, that means toys, games, posters, you name it.
If you dont compete with the WWE on that front, you will die quick. I remember when WCW was poppin they had all kinds of merchandise to go around, and me and my friends would prefer WCW because aroind that time they had the best games
wow breh
that asian nikka with the mask with okada this whole time?
lmao

Doesnt matter if its trash, not having a game at all hurts you more than having one, and making slight improvements year to year will usually make the game passable
A lot of this is romanticism tho, the guy could go in the ring (with the right dance partner) but he looked like a social ed teacher who downloads child porn..The company wouldn't look right with everyone vying to beat him and his alligator arms for the title. X division title was kind of the defacto company title anyway because in that div when they wrestled it to total non stop actionIts a crime that Christopher Daniels never became TNA Heavyweight Champion... especially during that time period when they were hyping him as AJ Styles's equal
let's be reality how big do you expect your company to be if Samoa Joe is your franchise? He was exactly where he was suppose to be. Its when Hogan came did he start being tossed aside for a shiner toy and deservedly so. Around that time it was about slobbering over dudes with tenure. When they eventually put him in MEM how odd did he look? Not building around a prime Samoa Joe when he was catching fire.
never really understood the pope love, he had a little spark at the start then he feuded with either Nigel or Kennedy got injured came back and had lose momentum he never reclaimedNot fully getting behind Pope when he caught fire.
Letting the knockouts division crumble. Just like the X division, they were YEARS ahead of the curve and they dropped the ball....Like they always do.
You think that was by choice? When they got to big for their boots and decided to run before they could crawl doing live shows in different states they nearly went out of business. What they should have done is go back to arena similar to the set up of their NWA/TNA days..Staying in the impact zone for all those years was a joke
