At one time I believe, the Knockouts were getting the highest ratings on Impact. While WWE was having Halloween Costume battle royals with the Divas, Gail Kim and Awesome Kong were putting on classics on Impact, even main eventing some shows.

They were constantly drawing the best ratings week in and week out and the people who did their make up were making more money than them.

Let's not front like they put more than a minimal effort into the character - especially when you factor in the fact Russo was writing.

And you can absolutely fault them for not recognizing potential in talent when they had it right under their noses.

It's not like he was green either - New Japan had him enter and win his first G1 6 months after he left TNA.

I know this doesn't have much to do with wrestling, but a missed opportunity for them was not making installment sequels to their videogame. The way to continue to generate revenue and interest? Target the kids, that means toys, games, posters, you name it.

If you dont compete with the WWE on that front, you will die quick. I remember when WCW was poppin they had all kinds of merchandise to go around, and me and my friends would prefer WCW because aroind that time they had the best games
