As broken down as Taker may be, his streak is a huge marketing tool every year. I expect him to retire with it still intact because, like him or not:
(1) that character is probably Vince McMahon's greatest and most consistently over creation; and
(2) no wrestler has been more loyal to Vince for a longer period of time.
Vince has a ton of respect for Undertaker and the streak has made both of them a lot of money. They won't just toss it in the bushes.
If someone ever does break the streak, it'll be someone who they see as the undisputed face of the company, the absolute top guy, for at least the next few years. I think he'd even have to be Taker-approved. I don't believe anyone sees Punk as that guy.
As far as Rock goes, I'm a huge fan, but I think Punk needs the win a lot more than he does. Rock is way beyond needing a win over anyone.
