Howard and other HBCU's need to get the right people in to make things work.

I do understand that there is an increase of students dependent on financial aid and are not able to come out of pocket for tuition.

I understand alumni not having the types of jobs where they can give back the university.

But most all schools are facing these issues. A qualified administration will make it work.

Not really. Real nikkas know: HBCUs stay involved in fraud and embezzlement. This isn't new, and your grandparents have stories of mismanagement at these same schools. The only place with worse issues is Indian affairs and tribal management. Cacs defraud legally because they make the laws which ensure their fraud is technically legal. Nikkas ans natives follow the cac example in spirit but not by letter.

I'm actually quite suprised by this list. I would have thought their board consisted more of what was listed under "Trustees Emeriti".

And as many people that are recruited from Howard to go work on Wall Street, I just knew there were some IB managing directors sitting on the board.

I was reading about David Swensen yesterday and wondered why out of the thousands of blacks that graduated from Howard and work on Wall Street that none of them ever came back and did something similar. No reason Howard shouldn't have a multi billion dollar endowment. Yeah I'm in this black lawyer Group Me. He's a 3L and supposedly has a job lined up at Arent Fox, a big time DC law firm. But, they said all his shyt has been pulled from Arent Fox's website last they checked. Even if all this shyt passes, some will ask could he pass character and fitness to even sit for the bar? Well, usually character and fitness is about how you disclose all information. I've heard of stories of people committing actual crimes and still passing C&F. BUT, one of the biggest issues most states have is when you misappropriate funds, because that could raise an issue of whether you'd do that to a client as a lawyer. So really, I think it's hard for him to ever pass it. Crazy, nikka had a $180K base salary big firm gig lined up right after law school and not may not ever be able to practice law......and be a damn felon.
