This is where we are right now.

These losers will do and say anything they know is dumb, just to get attention online. He doesn't even believe that sh*t. But he's not talented enough to get people to care about him, so this is what he feels he needs to do. Bum n*gga sh*t.

I was believing he was serious,I was even rooting for him. But then he named "One More Time" as proof:francis:

Song for song, quotable for quotable its closer than people want to talk about,or could possibly imagine:wow:

Jay definitely has overall catalogue and bodies of work.

Dj Self said Cube was better than Nas which is blasemphy. However, this takes the cake.

Blasphemy to who:gucci:

If you have lyricism bias maybe. We suggest you diversify your ears. You have less credibility than someone who enjoys various styles.

Also on a side note,Plies rapped about trapping more authentically than Jay. That has to count for something.

Music is subjective.

He’s not wrong or right.

I’m from Florida and I’d rather listen to Plies than Jay. But I know objectively, Hov has a bigger impact and greater legacy than Plies.

Get off the fence champ, say what you want to say with your chest. It may not "sound" good or popular. But shoot straight, whos better between Jay and Plies?

Cube ain’t been good since the 90s. Stop the 🧢. Cube is an OG legend, but don’t be in denial of the greatness and longevity of Nas still sounding great in 2024.

:comeon:

Self is the same guy who ignored Cardi B when she was under him and acted like she wasn't worthy of being taken serious as an artist before she blew up. That's his claim to fame. So we are supposed to look at the opposite of anything he says.

nvm

Now this Piles vs Jay-Z take is definitely :patrice:

He was cool where he was saying Plies is his favorite rapper. That's who he likes.
It became a different conversation when he said he thought Plies was a better rapper than Jay Z.

Last solid Cube album was Raw Footage and he sounded good on that. Last great Nas album was life is Good, unless I missed one of his projects which is possible. Point is Cube predates Nas by about a decade. Yet i think both they last good albums came out around the same time.

Either way Nas dont got the classics, and Nas didnt have the run Cube had EVER.

Eh. Cube has Kill at Will, Amerikkka's Most Wanted, Death Certificate, The Predator and the NWA sh*t under his belt.

Dude was the best MC in the game for a nice stretch, at one point. So if somebody had Cube over Nas, I think that's kinda understandable. He was untouchable for years. Easily one of the best ever. Cube and Nas are in the same class.

:ohhh: I’ve never seen this take before but I like to hear about different viewpoints.. so you don’t consider Illmatic to be a classic..? Hate me now, if I ruled the world, ether aren’t hits/classics..?

Plies first album is HARD
Had a bit of everything:

Songs for the ladies (that weren't too sappy): Shawty, Hypnotized, You
Social Commentary that wasn't "backpack" : 100 years
Fun club/strip club songs: I Am the Club, Money Straight
Street songs: I know you working, Goons lurking, Murking Season
Personal struggle/relationship issue songs: Drive My Momma crazy, 1 more time, Kept it too real, On my dikk
Straight Bangers: Intro, Friday

Album really captured that time and era in Florida really well (2006-08).

I wouldn't put Plies anywhere near the top of any "best rapper" lists, but I would consider putting The Real Testament somewhere in my top 25 albums, probably in the 20-25 range.
