This album a disgrace to Pop memory :hhh:

this ain’t right
You can tell it was rushed and they was tryna push him to go commercial with the lovie dovie songs and less drill shyt. Some of these radio friendly songs sound more like experimental leftovers. And the really good songs are way too short. Album is long, but feels incomplete at the same time.

Best Tracks:
Aim for the Moon
Gangstas
Creature
Snitching
Got It on Me
Tunnel Vision

For Pop Smoke to have such limited material and ruff drafts of ideas that are unfinished and unpolished...I think 50 did the best he could. The sad thing is, that’s probably everything in Pop Smoke’s vault and we won’t hear anything else new/unreleased again:mjcry:.

Gangstas is so fukking hard tho...man, this kid had crazy ass potential:ohlawd::sadbron:

I wouldn't go that far, but you can tell they was tryna push him to go commercial with the lovie dovie songs and shyt. Some of these radio friendly songs sound more experimental than regular Pop Smoke songs. And the really good songs are way too short. Album is long, but feels incomplete at the same time.
At the time of his death Pop was trying to go pop/commercial and be a real rap star not a drill nikka

MTW2 is more commercial than MTW1. He was teasing these R&B records and collaborations with international artists like Burna and El Alfa, had already been working on a whole tape with Quavo and doing Paris fashion weeks dude wanted to be a star

After some 20 spins, I can firmly say this album is great. Might be the first time where the artist being dead hinders the album. Him promoting it, doing interviews, shows etc. would've make it so much bigger. He had that type of energy and chemistry with the mic.

:ufdup:nikkaz need to take notes from 'The Jacka - Murda Weapon' on how to do a proper post-death album that lives up to the artist.

album is alright on first listen, the label influence on this album is wild tho. wanted more drill but it's his major debut album so i get it. meet the woo 1 & 2 are miles better.

standouts: 44 bulldog, gangstas, something special, what you know about love, tunnel vision

they also ruined enjoy yourself with that latin chick, replacing it with the burna boy version :yeshrug:

Is there a burna boy version/leak out there or did they not let burna get on it at all?

I'm on the first listen and tbh I don't like this album cover either. It's not trash like the other one was but it's not dope either.

Guess it's not the end of the world because there are other dope covers on Fif's IG for people to choose from.
