This is not true bro, at no point ever was Houston nikkas known for being more 'with the shyts' than Dallas nikkas. You probably wasn't ever in the streets or really been to places to see though and that's ok cause that life is bullshyt, but there is a reason why New Orleans nikkas settled in Houston and not Dallas after the storm and it aint got everything to do with Houston being more southern. Ain't no black neighborhoods in SF anymore, they long, long gone. Bit the black murder rate in SF is high because a disproportionately high number of blacks in SF live in poverty, but those blacks live in mixed hoods...

I don't think there's a hood over 35% black left in SF...

But that's quite simply not true, cause Dallas has always historically had a higher murder rate per capita and the percentage of the population that is black in Dallas is actually higher than Houston(Dallas is 25% Houston is 20% I believe.

And no it wasn't hip hop, Dallas nikkas and New Orleans nikkas had some wars when the storm first passed, believe me I was there for a few of them. New Orleans nikkas came thinking they could take this bytch over and didn't realize Dallas nikkas go hard. All my NOLA potnas to this day say 'We turned Houston into the new New Orleans' and laugh about it, they could never say that shyt about here.

Houston has more cache and notoriety in American black culture, from what I've seen in my travels Coast to coast. So that's why some people may think Houston is wilder. In most of the US, Dallas is thought if as this cow town, Crackerville. Houston has impacted our culture, black culture, more deeply from entertainers and athletes to universities and music and food, etc. If you ask the average black person, who not from Texas or neighboring states, to tell you something about Dallas, cats will draw a blank after thr Cowboys...
