Literally every police department in America had their federal consent degree removed, meaning not only that they don't have to prove they've stopped being racist anymore but all the other departments know there is free reign to do whatever they want and the feds ain't gonna be on their ass like they were in the last administration.

Every federal action against voter discrimination and trying to keep the vote from Black/Brown folk was removed.

A major Obama action that reduced the suspension of Black students by the tens of thousands was removed. Now there's no effort to prevent discrimination against Black students at all.

Obama was supporting affirmative action in court, Trump has switched sides and is fighting to end it.

A bunch of laws meant to monitor banks and prevent racist banking practices were ended. Now if you get denied a loan you won't even know if it was racist and the banks don't have to provide the information that shows if they have a history of racism or not.

Ended a program that was meant to combat housing segregation.

Blocked a shytload of discrimination investigations in the federal system and isn't pursuing new ones. So not only were thousands of racists let off the hook, but all sorts of schools, businesses, federal employees, etc. feel that much more empowered to act in racist ways knowing that there aren't any consequences right now.

Enacted numerous policies to further militarize the police and make the court systems that much shytier for poor folk and black folk.

Actively tried to repeal Obamacare and take away health care from millions of black folk, only missed by 1 vote in the Senate. 49 Senate Republicans and 235 House Republicans voted to repeal it.



I don't know you. Maybe having less wealth in the Black community, more difficult for Black people to vote, for difficult for Black students to get into college, more Black men harassed by the cops, no repercussions for the beating and killing of Black men by the cops, more Black kids getting suspended, more Black men in jail, fewer Black families with health care....maybe that doesn't affect you at all.

But if you don't think that shyt affects the Black community then you're just playing dumb.

Go look up the status of black people graduating from HBCUs nowadays and the state of HBCUs in general--there's a reason alumni donations are so low

If anything that would fukk up HBCUs struggling to serve actual black people who need it (I don't wanna get into the immigrant thing because we'll get back to the ADOS/Black immigrant thing)

I don't know how HBCUs would survive if they gave free admission--other than jack up the prices on everything else

As someone who believes the power of life and death is in the tongue I believe we have to get away from saying prison reform and the like are "black issues" all black people aren't criminals.

Why are we still saying voter Id laws are racist? I had to show ID to go to a rated R movie not too long ago, and I had to show id at the liquor store. Are they racist for that? Has anyone on this board ever met a person that cares about politics that couldn't afford an ID. When I think of people without IDs I immediately think of drug addicts and undocumented immigrants. In fact when you combine them not wanting people to have to show ID to vote with their calls for open borders, it starts to look like someone wants to be able to easily cheat at the polls

Isnt it crazy how the trade war was supposed to crash the economy just a few months ago, now its "I have to pay a dollar more for a newspaper". and idk if I totally believe that because newspapers are a dying industry, you would think they would be charging more to try to stay solvent.

Someone should do a live stream on the occupy Democrats Facebook page and read the story of Chicken Little, I dont think they grasp the concept

The reason why HBCU donations are so low is in part the economic state of the alumni themselves - for those who have moved into high paying professional fields where they can quickly discharge their debt - they donate.

The vast majority of these alumni are not first-generation - first-generation students are less likely to give across the board, especially if they're saddled with debt, are having difficulty breaking into their career field, and have other responsibilities.

HBCUs overwhelmingly serve the Black students who need it - there are HBCUs where almost the entire student body qualifies for a Pell Grant and they're dealing with state austerity measures that slashed their budgets while still fighting for the students.
