i dont see polight pick fights with other black movements, i see him critique other black movements, which is fine by me because there are a lot of shortcomings with modern day "black" groups and there's nothing wrong with telling the truth. noi, new bpp, nuwapian, 5%, and about a thousand different varieties of homegrown black power movements all operating to better the situation for black people, and none of them work together.

and it's also ridiculous to say he's not doing anything for the masses. he owns businesses that benefit the community, he has an organization nu covenant designed to create wealth and ownership in the black community. not to mention all the lectures and knowledge he gives to the people, a lot of it for free or at a very reasonable cost.

Also, some of those groups you mention are all about working together... for example, the noi is rejected by most black churches and by some groups that are all about assimilating into white culture.... so that doesn't mean they wouldn't like to work w those groups.

I used to see these guys when I would go to Harlem, they are not at all impressive. But so many folks eat it up, I mean how the hell would Black nationationalism work today? Black people have so many different priorities in life, getting behind something on some united Black front just seems unlikely in this day in age.

i think if you create an open intellectual environment with good open discussion the good ideas will naturally float to the top

Yeah, black people are too diffuse and heterogeneous in experience, socioeconomic status and culture now for some black nationalist agenda to really take root or be effective. There is no monolithic black experience anymore.

Dudes like this Brother Polight and his ilk would be better off focusing on just community activism and organization to tackle unemployment, education, housing discrimination, disparities in the criminal justice system, etc. rather than all this new age quasi-Nuwabian/5%er stuff about having super-powered melanin that contains dark matter and all that bullshyt, lol.

for those who consider themselves "pro black" and dont like polight's method, are you doing anything on polights level in terms of business, uniting like-minds, or acquiring knowledge? Do you have a plan to raise awareness, power, and unity within black communities? What would you suggest to polight?

Basically, if polight is a scammer, or detrimental to black americans, what are YOUR solutions, and have you implemented them within your community yet?

I dont know dude, but his mind is obviously on a different level than most. His family loves and appreciates him, hes about his business, and he challenges ideas he doesn't agree with. I dont agree with everything i've heard from him so far, but i wont let that take away from the big picture.
