Don Makaveli.
It's not anything we can do to be honest. I'm from Columbia and I can say that we don't want it but since it's the state capital and home of the STATEHOUSE it's not up to us. Trust me if it was up to people in the Columbia area it would have been gone years ago but tricky Nikki don't give a fukk and only push a tea party agenda. The fukked up thing is the only area of the state that suffers for it is Columbia [and she is from Lexington just like that terrorist]. Upstate [Greenville, Spartanburg and etc] is the most populated part of the state...most conservative and got hella political clout. The rest of the clout comes from the coast and low country Charleston area. Fukked up thing was they snuck the shyt up there and said it was just for a centennial celebration and would be down after a year. They never took it down off of the dome and it took everything just to get them to put it on the grounds and not the dome. So trust me...we don't want it up there but breh...but that old money still holds weight and the fact is tricky Nikki is the first Governor from the Columbia area in like 60yrs and she does more for the coast and upstate than her on area.
I think there is something the black people in Colombia along with surrounding states can do. South Carolina along with North Carolina has a pretty sizable black population that can organize petitions across the country that will ask congress to address getting the flag removed which should be made a public issue. The swastika or naizi flag has been banned from being hung in any state capital across America due to the painful memories it brings to jews. I could not live in a state where they have a confederate flag hanging up. At some point,it would really start fukkin with my head. knowing these crackers were the same ones who were lynching my forefathers while flying the flag in the background
