Or if you let them have guns, if they shoot their weapon, then they have to be suspended for a year. Then evaluated, no matter Right or wrong.
If their evaluation comes back clean, then they get to stay on the force under supervision for a year.
If that shooting results in injury or death. Rightful shoot or not.
That officer needs to be let go off the police force first.
Then a trial.
So best case scenario for that officer in a lawful shoot, would be an innocent verdict.
But they can't be an officer anymore.
So now everytime any Police officer draws their weapon, they're gonna have to think twice and 4x about shooting.

They could have just got her license plate number and let her drive away.
They're not even doing good police work

Trying to use your body to prevent a combustion powered object that weighs a ton plus is asinine…. Cop logic = dumb logic 80 percent of the time….. He easily got out of the way and didn’t have to fire his weapon……. Get the plate number… review the video in the store…. Get a warrant the next day….. There is no way you can ethically justify killing someone over 50 dollars worth of goods they allegedly “stole” from a multi billion dollar corporation
