NOW its our fault that we're still as a people, unaware of media propaganda being used as a tool of white supremacy. Its so obvious whats being done, yet we still call it "conspiracy fantasy". We're blind to whats going on. We dont control our own music. Black music is being dictated by old white/jewish men. Remember this vid?

Notice the skin color of most the people in the room. Notice who's in control of what stereotypical black images gets to the mainstream. Notice who's in control of our image PERIOD. If Bobby didnt act like a violent savage in this audition, he wouldnt have been signed. Media propaganda is currently one of the most effective tools being used against us. Its being used to keep the most negative images of us at the forefront. Open your eyes breh

LA Reid is the highest ranking person in the room on the bobby shmurda vid. Just sayin

the white record would flop at black radio and vice versa

No it wouldn't. Did "Happy" flop on black radio? No...

Did R. Kelly's "I Believe I Can Fly" flop? No...

Positive records can sell if marketed properly. The white supremacists who work for urban radio (because we don't control urban radio...some jew does) decide what the black community listens to.

Only thing wrong with I Don't Mind is that it's a simp anthem. Outside of that what's wrong with a party song about strippers? Most music is about having fun and women. It was that way 40 years ago and it's about that today.

Black people don't really fukk with edm like they used to in the 80s and 90s (house music). I'm not surprised shytty pop edm songs aren't getting played, no matter how positive they are.

And can we stop pretending like white radio isn't full of songs about drug use, sex, and partying too.
You listen to black radio and 95% of the music is sex and drugs and violence. It's not like that on top 40 radio.

I hate this. They use to say they were ''street singles'':francis:

Thats basically spitting at our faces, saying that black folk can only understand ignorance and drama.
It's pretty simple.

nikkas ain't trying to hear that positive shyt. It ain't that deep breh

I have the right to call them c00ns when they have the same expectations as a white supremacist

Once again phonzi spitting facts..
I started to realize rappers and entertainers in general were deliberately dumbing themselves and audience down since I found out that prodigy from mob deeps great great grandfather founded Morehouse college. That's generational wealth and i strongly doubt dunny was forced to live the street shyt he's always glorified

http://en.m.wikipedia.org/wiki/Prodigy_(rapper)

Albert Johnson (born November 2, 1974), better known by his stage name Prodigy, is an American rapper and one half of the Hip-hop duo Mobb Deepwith Havoc. He is the great-great-grandson of the founder of Morehouse College.

This is a problem. Ignorant ass shyt is worshipped and Prodigy is cool with people not knowing that he had a relative that founded a HBCU. He will never mention it in a song, though. :sas2:

I don't need my eyes to be open, cause I've known this shyt forever. It's "black radio"'s fault more than it is anyone's. And note that I put black radio in quotations because most of the owners of these stations are white and usually far removed from anything having to do with black people. And they are often the ones who make the final decisions, and ever since a looooong time ago have continuously limited the playlist/variety of what's played. And this has gone on since the 80s/early-90s. Theres been specific sounds and subject matter that they focus on playing, and whatever doesn't 'fit' into that has less of a chance of being played. And in recent years, it's only gotten worse. Now is this the ARTIST'S fault, or the fault of those who run the operation?

Not trying to put words in yalls mouths, but are you all saying that black people shun positive, uplifting and inspirational music? Are we naturally drawn to negative, poisonous, demonic music that promotes our own genocide? Is this the reason that positive, uplifting songs like this by black artists only gets play on pop stations mainly for whites to hear? Are we just a naturally negative people that hate ourselves?

According to advertisers and ratings, yes.

Black radio audiences aren't given a choice. Black radio didn't give a shyt about iggy fancy, but they played that shyt all day and all night until it became a hit.
I give you that but payola is alive and well. Just change the station or do not listen at all.

Hell yeah. In that "Top Rappers" thread from the other day I forgot to mention Chuck D and Wayne (even though Wayne is on a different Mount Rushmore).

I felt so guilty :francis:

I dunno... PE's in the Hall of Fame. Any time you watch one of those VH1 type things, they get mentioned... now when it comes to the black community, absolutely. But that was to be expected IMO, cause radio didn't support them anyway. They became popular IN SPITE OF not being played on radio or MTV very often. They and NWA were the two groups who were able to do mainstream numbers without mainstream play. So I'm not surprised 'black radio' or TV wouldn't do much in the way of helping them be remembered. Funny thing is, most of those outlets only started supporting PE by the time their prime years were at a close. Their single 'Give It Up' did better charts-wise than any of their '87-'91 shyt did, got more radio play, etc.
