The World, but from BK
Just had a thought. Is Toronto the right city to go to? I've always heard international travelers bigging up Vancouver, not Toronto. Which is better for someone with no specific plans, just tryna go and see a city in Canada?

Is Toronto easier to get around sans-automobile?

Edit, its gonna have to be Toronto or Montreal cause Vancouver seems more nature-y and like they probably don't got decent public transit

Vancouver reminds me of Seattle.

I was looking at ticket prices with SkyScanner

Toronto was like $240
Montreal was like $370
and Vancouver was like $577.

So...its gonna have to be between Toronto and Montreal, Ima be in either one for like 6-7 days. Friendlier people to hang out with is a plus, also, as its my first time one of these 2 cities with a good train/rail system is beneficial when I go out by myself just exploring.

As far as the hoods, I'm from Jackson Heights/Corona in Queens, and used to live in N. Philly (3 different spots actually), so I'm not really concerned, but just like if any Canadians were coming here, I'd tell them about what hoods they should be more cautious about at nighttime. If I had to guess, the hoods in Canada are probably usually as harmless as Bay Ridge, Brooklyn.

Both cities are dope.Im biased towards T.O. cuz i live here...There are a few hoods in T.O. nothing crazy but just avoid trying to show out, only one really still putting in work is Jane/Finch & Fleming Park...T.O you can get around easily without car as there is a subway system here...If you decide to come here i'll drop some info on shopping, restaurants, and areas downtown to check out...

Good looks, I'm not really concerned about it, its just something in the back of my head, like if I attend a hip-hop show and meet people there and they like "Yo, you pretty cool, come back to the block:birdman:"

Research online says that TDot girls are not DTF (I assume they are probably just like NYC girls though, but probably much worse)

TDOT also has more artistic things to do and see though, right?

Also, considering I'll only be there for 1 week, will my 0% French (plus my not feeling like learning any of it) make people hate me, or will it might people take interest in me?

Almost everybody in Montreal speaks English. You'll be fine as long as you don't provoke anyone.

I don't know which parts of MTL are full of crazy ass separatists though...you'll have to find out about that if you are really worried about getting jumped or beat.

The East end(East of St.Laurent blvd) is full of separatists, but there really ain't nothing to see on that side of the city, alot of areas in the East are poor rundown shytholes(Montreal-Est, Hochelaga).

you should come down end of the month for Caribana, I'm surprised no one has mentioned this. When you come, make sure you get a hotel D/t, don't bother staying anywhere North of Bloor, it will take you too long to understand the transportation system. There are a lot of hotels in the core, you can walk to any even, or quick cab ride.

Things to do:
Check out jays, TFC, Molson Indy, some concerts, club district - too many things to do here, especially if you stay d/t.

As far as the women...hmmm, all I can say is this, know your league. Girls here try to act very pretentious, but again, its contingent on where you frequent. So if you attempt to approach a high class looking girl in a high class club, you'll prob get shot down if you don't look rich/really handsome, or have something about you that sends off an intriguing aura. This is true if you attend a club like Muzik. But again, clubs aren't the only place to get women. If you have a NY/Southern accent during caribana wknd, you can eat really good.

Yo, this sucks, I just looked it up and I won't be able to be in town for Caribana. I gotta be back in NYC by August 1st. (I'll try to see if I can switch that though, but probably not). If I do go to that and Drake's concert thing, then I'm def. choosing TDot over Montreal. Right now, I might be leaning towards Montreal though.

As far as knowing my league with the womens, if I even do make that a part of my trip (I mostly been asking for reference-sake), I will take any chick that's slim, a solid 5 and got all her teeth. That's all. It's not like I'm getting married. I'd have more luck with the artsy-chicks cause my talk-game is NICE!:cook:
