He's actively trying to destroy the country

He's the biggest agent we've ever seen

all he has to do is go out there and say "white men, they're the reason your life is sad and pathetic"

they eat it up like skittles and he's free to do all the nefarious sh*t he wants.

and dumb ass cacs cheer for it because on the surface they deem his changes as "draining the swamp" :scust:

What the endgame for firing all the probationary workers?

Have one of his buddies spin up a private company that provides the same service, give them the contract, then try to hire everyone back at half of what they were making?
It's a combo of that plus they want to install the Trump loyalist into the positions. The problem is that a lot of his followers lack the qualifications or aptitude to even do a majority of these jobs. So it will be a bunch of yes men

We are (for now)

No one is firing controllers right now. They are trying to privatize the NAS, but they aren’t firing us
Yeap. I tell everyone it's too much risk involved to fire air traffic controllers. The amount of time and money involved to even replace one controller is already crazy. It's a highly specialized skill that a majority of people either can't manage the workload consistently or just do.

We’ve had this conversation at work, and I truly believe that’s todays system is different enough than in the 80’s that if they essentially fired us all like Reagan did it would be INFINITELY worse

Military isn’t working airspace like we are, and the country would grind to a halt.

Would it eventually get better? Yes.. but it would take years or even a decade for things to be “normal” again

How does this benefit y'all though in efficiency
The firing of these people? It doesn’t.. it further just puts short handed people, in a tougher spot

@Scaaar knows this. The NAS is essentially run on 6 day work weeks at this point. That’s not changing.

People in these positions are so good at their job that for the past 5-7 years people haven’t noticed a strain in air travel until the midair collision.

What @jaydawg08 said. The NAS is working as intended. But they definitely need more controllers to help carry the load. Years of 6 day work weeks and 10 hr shifts have burnt a lot of people out.
