If the tech is there, the question could be posed,

If the have the means, they should keep offering better consoles as long as I can still play against my friends with the original X1.
I have my original X1 in me and my wife's room and an X1S in the family room.
When the Scorpio drops, I'll be able to move the X1S into the kids room and enjoy the Scorpio.
Or trade in the X1S to buffer the cost of the Scorpio.
Keep giving me more options. That's what the consumer wants.
But don't separate the consumer base - we don't want that.

If Scorpio debuted at 299 maybe, but it's not. Minimum 499
6 years is perfect and the 25 year anniversary is perfect. Last gen was 7 years for Sony, 8 for Xbox. 8 is rediculous
