I think ND has a far bigger task than what's anticipated. This can't just merely be a "Look at our multiplayer for TLOU 2!"
It has to seriously shake up the MP space and do things either unprecedented or is of such high quality that it takes attention away from other major IPs. Like, it can't just be a simple 4v4 PVP affair or some 2/3 man mini adventure missions. That's stuff within the scope of a regular launch even for their own past games(Uncharted 2~4.)
It needs to really hone in with content on the level of Modern Warfare 2. Like that game has a LOT of content that's arguably deep. You have regular PVP, PVE and tons of variations of those. Coming out with something that's not even that level at a minimum will be seen as a big nothing burger imo.

Naw, just give us something that looks and plays like TLOU 2 with PVPVE and signature ND high quality writing and polish and it will be successful. Most multiplayer games aren’t putting that much money and production value in their games at all
