8 billion is chump change to the M$ team but congrats.

Now, wouldn't buying Square Enix be a waste? They already get EVERYTHING square enix does minus a 3DS port or two.
So you want them to buy square so... other gamers can't access their games? I mean, thats the opposite of what Microsoft is trying to do
So you want less gamers to play Square games.

Or maybe you'll be like "Yeah, FF16 is exclusive even more than it already is!!!"

Would mean nothing to an xbox gamer. I personally would rather play Avowed, Fable/etc. But hopefully we all have good games to play.
I could spend about $200 and likely be able to play every major release for the next 5yrs thanks to gamepass.

I don’t think they’d be spending it all on SIE, its for all entertainment, so tv/movies, and music also. If they got 8 billion, I’d assume not even half would be spent on gaming

sounds like it could be more non-gaming stuff

It will be for everything encompassing entertainment. SIE is bigger than their music and film division at this point so it will always be a priority with M&A
