I think it will take time for that to happen because most people buy consoles to play with their friends. At the moment PS5 will have influence power based on 2:1 console ratio. However, Microsoft got the perfect chance to turn heads if Starfield, Hellblade, Avowed, and others look great.The shift begins

eh, I think they got the opportunity here, but most people are still going to get a PS5 regardless. As I mentioned most people buy consoles to play with their friends, so a person will most likely choose a PS5. Plus, Sony built up their reputation for 1.5 gens of having great games, so there's a high level of trust in getting good games. Microsoft needs to regain that trust that they lost with the Xbox One gen. If they can nail these next couple of games some PS5 owners may want to buy a Series X for these games.

If exclusives didn’t matter people wouldn’t be upset about the showcase. Everyone who cares about games tuned in for sony games not 3rd party as good as they were.

Most people ain't the coli tho, according to most on this site they got a PS5 for exclusives or so that what they say. This showcase wasn't really that amazing when it comes to that.
Most gamers in general buy games to play with friends or because it's what they friends have or suggested or because of value and access.
The absolute only company that's selling off exclusivity is Nintendo and thats partially because their exclusives are a brand within themselves.

I’m glad people are voicing their disappointment with it, not just sitting and eating shyt because we got SM2 gameplay. It wasn’t a good FIRST party showcase and sony should know they dropped the ball

Sony is a major console brand, and on that console they have the most games exclusive and non exclusive.
Value and "friends" is not the only factor because if that were true everyone would just buy a cheap Series S and gamepass. Instead they buy a PS5 because it just checks off multiple boxes.
Idk why you stay trying to downplay the importance of exclusives on Sony's platforms.
