Looking at the storage option rumors

The PS5 uses a 12 channel SSD, so any potential storage size options would be as follows:

825GB, 1.65TB, 3.298TB, 6.59TB, etc

Any rumors that suggest a storage size outside of those are obviously fake
not saying any of this is true, but it wouldn't be the first time a company exaggerated memory/storage size

how will this work with the claim that the you can upgrade the PS5's storage with an off the shelf SSD. will it format a 1TB SSD to 865GB? (a "1TB" NTFS drive is 930GB)

It's really 825GB, it's 768GB after formatting.

idk...it’ll still probably be listed as 1TB...2TB etc. tho

case in point...the xboxes this gen were listed as 500GB/1TB but you only got 360GB/780GB respectively

Yeah but 1TB after formatting is 931GB

This is a 825GB drive that is 768GB after formatting.

It's literally not 1TB.

Im surprise there hasnt been any Leak from Sony. I remember past E3's where everything would leak like the week before.

the leak was probably testing the waters out with social media for $750 to see reactions

overwhelming negative reactions = change to $499

people arguing for the price range = green light

mafukkas aint slick :francis:
