Superstar
Sad. I used to hand check the shyt out of people in middle school and high school for the while i played. flopping n shyt is just p*ssy to me.
Its runing the game..here is what I propose...
NO off-ball charging, meaning you cant draw charges if youre not the on-ball defender....make a person's physicality an actual aspect of the game
how wack is it to see Durant blow by Bron only for Battier to slide in and draw the charge?...I say get super picky with the rule and call it only when the offensive player drops his shoulder...
that is until the biggest star (Dwade, Bron, Chris Paul, Blake, etc.) started abusing it...DWade would miss more games due to flopping ejections than injury if this rule was imlemented
Also have to look at it as players taking advantage of the rules allowed in the game...
It's true, BUT it's extra fukked up when it's actually taught at a high level. I'm sure you've seen a few Duke basketball games in your life.
my thing is and it's probably already been said, i'm just too lazy to read thru the entire thread, but this "you can't call a foul there" narrative...why not? if it's a foul the first 47 min of a game and if it's in black & white in the rule book that it's a foul, then it should be called. with that train of thought, there's no need for a rulebook and refs should make up calls as they play (which I'm starting to belive some of them do)...i don't entirely blame the players (w/ the exception of that bytch Battier) but they know what they can get away with so why not exaggerate a bit...it's just frustrating when a damn superstar has to resort to those tactics
I dont like the idea of refs reviewing flops in-game because i like the fluidity of the game as-is, but they should fine/suspend players for flopping after the fact. Heavily.
a finals game was basically decided on a flop
end that shyt. 1 game suspensions
