Now who else wanna fukk with Hollywood Court?
its not that bad

one thing i hate though is why do they not call those after foul shots anymore, but still let dudes like wade and kobe do that pump fake/jump into the defender shyt?

if u get the defender off their feet then purposely jump into them that shouldn't be a foul IMO it should just play on

Nah, it really is that bad, that's part of the reason the Heat can get away with playing Battier at the 4. He can't challenge shots at the rim, but he can slide his feet quick enough to get in front of the charge circle.

It's changing the dynamic of the game, instead of worrying about the shot blocker you're more concerned about picking up your 4th foul on a drive.

The charge circle has to be moved out another foot, and allow more contact at the rim compensate for the driving.

They still call charges when a offensive player is the air and makes contact with a defender as long his feet are set. You jump, you put yourself at risk.

^^^^Never watched an NBA game in his life until this years finals

:stopitslime:

I seen more finals than you've been alive.

I didn't say it was happening all the time, just that they are letting it slide more than usual. If you disagree then leave it at that.

that shyt is corny as fukk

players are rarely out of control when they get called for offensive fouls

dudes slide in front of guys after the offensive player has already planted his feet to explod

its disgusting, a lot of guys dont even attempt to play legit defense. they just play hide and seek and sneak out trying to draw charges.

Yeah right now they've made it more rewarding to stay down and try to draw the charge since they are so ticky tack with contact while the players are in the air. They have to allow more contact at the rim and I agree fully about moving the charge circle out more.

nooooooooo

players CAN'T be great on ball defenders because you have players like dwade that flop when the wind blows

its the law of unintended consequences

CAME IN HERE TO SAY THIS...
THE OFFENSIVE PLAYERS GET SO BABIED NOWADAYS,
AND COMMIT SO MANY FLOPS.
WE CANT COMPLAIN ABOUT SOFT nikkaS TAKING CHARGES,
BECAUSE THEY ARE MOSTLY LIKELY TO GET IN FOUL TROUBLE GOING FOR THE BLOCK.
GOTTA TRY TO BALANCE OUT THE fukk shyt.

pretty much all it boils down to...but you'll never hear the talking heads point out the obvious

The best example of this is James Harden on Lebron last night to close out the game. Harden stepped up to him to play D....

knocked the ball away but lebron got it back....

Lebron brought the ball back to his right and used his left hand to shield Harden away from him (how this is not the equivalent of hand checking I don't know....)

So what does harden do? He simply plants his foot. Lebron purposely bumps him twice to get space. Harden flops to get a charge call.

And a blocking foul is called. :lolbron::gladbron:

From now on, the NBA needs to use the NBDL as their test bed for rule changes. It's an easy way to see how a certain rule would affect the game in a short period of time.

IMO, charges should be reserved for when players are just barreling in the lane out of control.

Nowadays a player 1 can be going up for a perfectly good layup and player 2 can slide over as player 1 is lifting off and player 1 gets called for a charge.

and if you notice, it's usually only the home team that gets these calls. The refs love to slide the momentum and get the crowd amped.

STD don't even care about shooting half the time, he just wants to catch a nikka in the air.

Its runing the game..here is what I propose...

NO off-ball charging, meaning you cant draw charges if youre not the on-ball defender....make a person's physicality an actual aspect of the game

how wack is it to see Durant blow by Bron only for Battier to slide in and draw the charge?...I say get super picky with the rule and call it only when the offensive player drops his shoulder...
