You can. They remapped the controls. You have to press up on the dpad to equip the pistol now, which is perfect because it was annoying carrying to rifles and trying two switch with Y but ending up switching to the handgun. Now there’s less to fumble around with since the guns are on seperate buttons.

I believe having the stock for it helps with the accuracy at longer ranges, I still wouldn't advise to fight at medium range with it, I just had no other choice, did my best to keep the recoil under control while keeping him In dead center of my aim
