Beat it today I enjoyed it...thought it was prolly better than the second one although I still enjoyed 1st one the most overall just cause of the atmospere in that one. This one's basically an all out action game. Music changes whenever you're about to get in a fight so u can see it coming a mile away. Whenever you step into a big room or u see a bunch of vents u can expect a big fight. Towards the end you're fighting waves of 20+ necromorphs too. They pretty much threw atmosphere and the survival horror aspect in the bushes for straight action. Still fun as hell dispatching necromorphs tho..and the biggest plus is that the campaign is pretty damn long for a modern fps. Longest I can remember in a min and the optional missions are pretty well done too

played all three and it's safe to say that each DS has their own pros and cons..1st was most def the scariest with the scary moments but the story was the worst of the three...second the game felt more refined/story was good ...some pretty scary moments (school level where you're locked in the theatre room 
..third has by far the best weapon system..the crafting system is piff as fuk and the combinations are endless..dialogue kind of sucks and less scary moments but it's my favorite dead space so far

Just play the first one. Forget that 2 & 3 even exist.

They're all good games. Please dont tell me you're one of these survival horror purists, friend.
In terms of atmosphere Dead Space 2 is better. But you can't compare the two. The games have to evolve someway. And any changes they made was for the better.
The game does feel too shooter-ish, but only when you're fighting the humans. But so far i've only encountered them twice.
The set pieces are
There is one part in chapter 7 where you have your jaws dropping. The scope is ALOT bigger. The story is still as interesting as before. And the weapon and craft system is sick. I upgrade my shyt at every bench. And the survivor-horror is still there. The atmosphere is what makes the game.

You're correct like right answers. I dont understand the hate. The atmosphere is still spooky and eerie. You open doors and enemies are plopping all around you and you have to deal with them quickly. It can be intense. I dont understand how people can say this isnt a dead space game. You dispatch a lot of necromorphs in this game yes but im sorry, its nothing like gears of war. I didnt like the ending...but overall it was a good game...I beat it and tradede it in for Metal Gear
hit me with some good weapon combos. I got force gun and evangelizer carbine with stasis coating. and contact beam with the detonator with acid bath.

i am still contemplating whether i shud buy this game or not....is it really that good breh? is it better than part 2?

Chain gun with rocket launcher (chain gun is telemtry spike + something)...put as much damage as you can on chain gun with a elemental damage addon, rocket launcher doesnt really matter but I use clip and reload mostly once damage is maxed. Chain gun eats trough anything. Cuts down bigger mobs and with 110 clip you obliterate the ones who come in big packs. Rocket launcher's there for emergencies and cleanup u can trade that one out dependin on preference. But the thing with this game is that once you get a lot of +damage upgrades any gun can kill in a couple shots. What becomes important is size of the clip and rate of fire.
