One of my brehs is mad into wildlife photography, and he says that basically you just gotta be there for ages so the animals get used to you. Of course some of it is edited and spliced and superimposed but still, some scenes, people have to legit chill there for weeks before animals stop getting bugged out.

More then weeks brehs, Planet Earth 1 & 2 took a couple of years each to film (around 4-5 years)....then sliced down to 6 1 hour episodes.
