Soldier
not redeemed with gold but with His Blood
He’s traditionally a underachieving frontrunner in the playoffs, but tonight he was marginally better than usual. Aaron Judge finally got a hit, drove in a run, and went all night without a strikeout. A slight improvement over his Last performances One base hit, one RBI for #44 tonight.JUDGE hit something
He had a meaningless base hit and drove a superfluous and meaningless RBI in the bottom of the 8th after the yanks just scored 5 runs and took a massive 11-4 lead. He wasn’t under pressure to perform and deliver clutch at bats because it was essentially garbage time. The game was, for all intents and purposes, out of reach for the Dodgers. But as Yogi Berra famously said it many decades ago, it ain’t over until it’s over. A homerun or a RBI from him would only have extended the Yankees lead by 1 run. It would have been a 12-4 score instead of 11-4. But you never know with this talented, powerful and deep dodgers offense. They can comeback in any way and at any time. So another insurance run, no matter how meaningless it is, is always welcome in a World Series against a team with such strong and resourceful hitters like LA.
