Pitbulls are like terminators man. I seen pitbulls get whacked by multiple people and still kept fighting.

Seen a video on the coli where a horse kicked and stomped a pitbull and it was still trying to get at the horse with all his broken bones.

I honestly don't think I could save a person's life being attacked by a pitbull if I didn't have a knife or something.

What you named are two of the biggest issues regarding the breed.

1. Lots of people know they can make a quick buck. I've seen some pits going for as low as 75 bucks. They look nice, but people don't understand the murky genetics they're dealing with. The breeders don't know anything with regards to the genetics or lineage of the dog, they just know someone will buy it. A lot of these incidents are dogs that have been backyard bred, from inexperienced owners. Pits historically were put down if they showed any type of human aggression to rid the gene pool of that behavior.

2. People don't put the proper time in training and socializing the dog in every environment imaginable. Other dogs, other types of animals (cats, a fukking ferret), small kids, big kids, adults, etc, etc, etc. This goes for every breed, but especially the pitbull. They are not guard dogs. They are a working breed and if you don't have a task for it, it will create one for itself. It needs to be stimulated through training, and exercise. They also need to be shown a great deal of affection.
