Not getting me again, after the one in 2011, which was near unbearable, and honestly, I wouldn't mind if I never saw any of these again, coming from a kid who loved pirates as small child, and read dozens of books, watched movies, wrote stories, etc. The franchise hollowed out after the first one, and it was a fun series 10 years ago, but has no real place in my heart.

I thought it was decent. I felt Jack lost a lot of his flare and wit but he was more in a supporting role. Not beating the original trilogy though.

fukk the critics this was insanly entertaining, whole cinema seemed to enjoy it :pacspit:
This. And I hate when I ask some of my friends why they didn't like it and they cent tell me anything in detail. "The acting was bad, it dragged, pacing was off." i can tell they read reviews and don't even know that those mean. But if they think this movie dragged in comparison to the other sequels, they don't know what the hell they're talking about :heh:

You know what? It wasn't bad at all. It's 10x better than the last one, which isn't saying much, but it was a fun ride. All of the characters are well done, jack is back to being a supporting player and not the main star, it wraps up loose ends from the 2nd and 3rd movies, and introduces some interesting new characters and twists to the mythology. I can't front like it brings anything "new" to the table but its an interesting story and has a lot to say about parents and their kids, women, while continuing to show a pirates life can only go on for so long
I enjoyed it also, it was a fun movie

I also thought it was dope when they went into how Jack Sparrow got his name.

Javier Bardem also really did his thing

shyt was dope. :blessed: captain jack had the the theater lit, glad he was more of a secondary character tho.

For a 2 hour movie it didn't drag at all, love the sense of adventure in this series and the way the supernatural elements are presented.

These are movies made to be seen in a theater:ehh:
