the fukking MLB office is telling these cac fukks to let them play and celebrate and shine and have some kind of swagger

and here come this starchy old curmudgeon man to restore the cac model of being absolutely devoid of any style or self expression

Look at hockey for an example of that.

What is he talking about? It was nothing but jewelry being worn back in the day. You also had swag, emotion, personality, charm, anger, joy, etc back in the day in baseball. The complete opposite of what the game is today. Why these old white former players who are now broadcasters stay trying to sweep that under the rug all the time:what:

Same dude last week said that another player's dead grandfather is ashamed of him cuz he celebrates his homeruns smh
Wehner invoked Dietrich’s dead grandfather, longtime Pirates minor league coach Steve Demeter, to criticize his home run celebrations.

“I can’t stand him,” Wehner said on Pittsburgh’s 93.7 The Fan Morning Show Tuesday. “I just don’t see why — I don’t understand why you have to do that. It’s different if you’re a Hall of Fame player, you’re a 60-homer guy, you’re an established guy. Nobody ever heard of him before this year.

“I heard of him because of his grandfather who used to be a minor league coach for the Pirates. He was the nicest, sweetest guy in the world. He’s rolling in his grave every time this guy hits a home run. He’s embarrassed of his grandson.”

Dietrich, a Pittsburgh native, drilled three home runs in an 11-6 win against the Pirates — just hours after Wehner’s comments.

What back in the day is he talking about because I remember dudes in the 80s in baseball rocking jewelry honestly baseball is the only sport I recall dudes being on shine...am I tripping or didn't Eric Davis and Barry Larkin used to wear jewels I know Deion did.

I remember back in the 90s, almost every player had a chain or earrings on. What is this fool talking about :dahell:
Yep. For whatever reason I've always remembered Albert Belle's gold cross. Seemed like he wore that particular chain basically his whole career.

And it wasn't just the brothers...shoot, even Cal RIpken rocked a big gold chain at one time. :wow:

My Pops Forever RIP
I remember when Arthur Rhodes would pitch and he had these stud earrings that would fukk your vision up. I think a team made him cover it up once because it was blingin so hard the batter couldn’t see.

The Pittsburgh announcers, Atlanta’s announcers, Smoltz, all need to get over themselves
