The only thing that looked bad for Pip in the doc was when they were talking about his contract negotiation and when he said he’d still sit out after the play was drawn for Kukoc. Other than those two parts, I thought he was portrayed pretty positively:manny:

Also, him and Phil had the most leverage to get paid for doing this doc aside from Mike since they’re big parts of the Bulls and the project would feel a little empty if they weren’t part of it. He couldn’t realize that and get paid a bit for it? I’m sure Phil negotiated himself a nice bag for it. :patrice:

You get what you negotiate. Scottie didn’t get paid because he didn’t name a price. He at least, would have more than likely gotten some money because he’s an integral part of the “Michael Jordan”
Story.

And the rest of his complaining? Just sour grapes. Nobody is watching that documentary without Michael Jordan’s involvement. PERIOD. He’s the most successful basketball player to ever live. And that is what that is.

So should Jordan not be looking out for his people though?

He could have had them kick some money down to Scottie, etc.

Their not his “people”. They are grown ass men. Its not his job to get them money just like it wasn’t his job to negotiate any of their contracts during their playing days

Why does Pip do this shyt? It seem like every few years he makes some side or sparky comment about Mike but then he'll defend Mike's greatness when a comparison comes up.

The money thing sounds fukked up but he sounds jealous of Mike's spotlight. PIP should be happy the documentary exposed his greatness to a new generation of fans.

There’s a reason why One went on to become a Billionaire NBA Franchise Owner and the other one Became a washed up 56 year old sharing his cougar wife with Future Hendrix.

Aren’t they both essentially the advanced stat GOATs as well?
No. The analytics community headed by Daryl Morey universally sees Bron as GOAT. MJ's defense is what hurts him. His offense is seen universally as the GOAT by analytics. Now, there are a lot of things that play a hand for both players but MJ defense especially in the 80s got killed when they started backtracking and recording play by play. No-fault to MJ but counting stocks was how people saw as good defense or not in the 80s. Nowadays, stocks are looked down upon to a degree. Analytics community while crushing Kobe's offensive value has played a hand in making him seen as a strong two-way player who's a tremendous defender as an SG.

It's hard to get too mad at MJ. He a man, you can't expect him to drop 36 a night and then play great fundamental defense as well. That's nearly impossible.

scottie pippen wouldn't even be remembered if he didn't play with MJ. He'd be Clark Kellogg status at best. just a random dude that people remember was in the nba once, but probably don't remember which team he played for

He's correct that MJ wanted to remind folks that he's still the GOAT over Lebron with The Last Dance (TLD) and it worked
Jordan Brand overall has increased in value since TLD
You can't even buy off colored AJ 1 mids when they release
a pair of his game worn shoes just went for $1.5M
Scottie saying he talked to teammates about how they felt about it, we know he's talking about Horace Grant:mjlol:
Steve Kerr, BJ Armstrong, Ron Harper don't care
MJ inducted Kukoc into the HoF so you know he not bothered
Dennis is on another planet
Cartwright always hated MJ
Who cares what the 3 headed monster of Longley, Perdue, Wennington thinks
MJ dragging the 98 Bulls to that championship pretty much without Scottie and Rodman along with Scottie doubling down on sitting out the last 2 seconds against the Knicks pretty much kills any sympathy Scottie thinks he might get

Imagine you kicking or asking a company that hired you for your services to kick money down to your co worker that does less than you and gets paid less than you(everyone involved in the last dance got paid one way or the other, Pippen got appearances and is writing a damn book off the last dance). Every grown ass man is responsible for securing their own bag no matter what their tax bracket is. Pippen is a grown up and I’m sure he has professional people that handles the use of his image and likeness, that team fumbled the bag.
