Scottie at his best isn't putting up more than 25 a night now. That's still really fukking good and you're also getting everything else Pippen is actually elite at, but 40 is a silly reach. Weird time to be critical of what Harden's doing when this is probably one of his more "respectable" 50 point games.

Something like 25-8-6 with the defensive impact that Scottie had is probably in the back half of the top 10 players in the league today though. I can't think of more than like 8 guys I'd take over Pippen right now.

Not everybody was gunning for it the way harden is. And I said ELITE player.

Doubt any version of pip would average 40 in any era...but he could probably flirt with averaging a 27-10-10 type triple double if he dominated the ball like guys like Harden and Luka do nowadays...even as a the prototypical point forward he never was holding the ball whole possessions as the initiator of the triangle

But hell average only 3 points more even tho he could shoot 6-10 more 3's a game with literally no defensive pressure being played on him in todays climate
