The context you provide is good, but their questions aren’t bad ones. By that I mean, how did we get to a point where this is the response? Considering what type of devastation the continent suffered from the Middle Passages of the West and East you would think that there would be added sensitivity. Africans really need to start asking themselves when is enough truly enough.

If nothing else, I’d love it if Mali, Niger, and Burkina Faso stepped to Libya (and Mauritania for that matter) about all this bullshyt.

For a start, they don't even have to step to Libya. Start hunting down and jailing/killing the people that are recruiting these migrants. Just like in the past slave trade there are some Uncle Toms from Ethiopia or Sub-Saharan Africa who help entice migrants with a promise of 'jobs' in Europe and end up selling their own kinfolk out for profit. Not to say the Arabs are blameless and 'Black folks sold each other into slavery blah blah', I am just saying if we make the block hot, the Arabs won't have as easy a time.

There need to be nationwide PSAs on the danger of this emigration and rewards for tips leading to the local people the Libyan smugglers are contracting.
