They said Garrett was known for "burning the midnight oil" at the facility every night. I don't get that sense w/ McCarthy. Something tells me Jerry has noticed too and how unpolished he is. I don't know their relationship seems...off to me.

Yep, Moore was right about the defensive philosophy. The Boys under Jerry has always been about the O.
To allow the defensive coaches to make most of the personnel decisions leads to massive upheavals of the roster every time a new DC takes over.
Like Moore and The Ticket guys mentioned, Quinn was close to winning a Super Bowl and well regarded, so he'll be a HC again,
especially if he gets this awful D back to average or decent. So if he turns it around in less than a year, we get a new coordinator with a new scheme?
What about all of these Quinn players? Start it all over again.

most of us in here KNOW the problem is our owner thinks he’s smarter than everybody else. What Moore was saying about the defense and the philosophy on that side makes sense when you look at Jerry Jones.
this problem won’t be fixed anytime soon. Our owner is the general manager. He won’t step down and actually thinks he’s doing a great job...but his only care is and has been offense. He doesn’t know or care to know defense. Now it makes sense why we don’t value safety. Now I understand taking a bunch of cast off and JAGs and trying to make them “compete” for the starting job.
that’s why there’s there’s just full trust and confidence in D Coordinators, because our “general manager” is allergic to defense...
Sad thing is this problem isn’t going away or will be fixed anytime soon. Matter of fact, I honestly believe its gonna get worse...no amount of drafting/free agency will get us out of this. Look at how this team is run in the FO, and understand this is how it’s going to be for the foreseeable future. Jerry got his three before FA he’s good. Get ya VHS Super Bowl tapes converted to HD DVD cuz it’ll be a min before we there again barring a miracle. “How bout em Boys?”
